Resilience in crises: a quiet look beyond the obvious opens clarity and direction.

Resilience in crises: The crossroads
In times of crisis, we often find ourselves at a crossroads where we must choose between confronting our emotions and simply waiting for circumstances to change. The challenges we face can reveal deep insights into our inner blockages and emotional patterns. Yet, all too often, we become trapped in our emotions and find it difficult to fully recognize the causes of our experiences. The willingness to look behind the front lines of our feelings is sometimes simply not available.
Resilience in crises: Limbo as a mirror
Recently, I had a conversation with a friend that clearly illustrated how waiting can hinder our resilience. She finds herself in a state of limbo in many areas of her life. Her car is at the mechanic’s and the repair takes longer than expected—this is just a metaphor for the patience she must cultivate in other areas. She is awaiting diagnoses for a loved one before she can make her own plans. During this time, she has countless tasks on her list yet feels blocked in taking action because external circumstances keep forcing her to wait.
H2: Resilience in crises: Look behind the routinesWhen I tried to offer advice, she responded that I misunderstood her and that everything was fine. The aspect of waiting, which recurs in many of her challenges, did not seem to be in focus. This is not unusual. We are often so busy adapting to or accepting external circumstances that we avoid addressing the underlying emotional themes.
Resilience in crises: Allow feelings, recognize meaning
Waiting for external change can evoke a strong sense of powerlessness that undermines resilience. If we remain in this stance, we take no active role in our lives and lose control over our reactions. In such moments, it is essential to allow not only the situation but also the associated emotions. It is fundamental to question our feelings and recognize the reasons behind the waiting.
Resilience in crises: Energy work as access
Energy work can support us in gaining insights and understanding what truly prevents us from moving forward. It is about identifying the emotional weight that builds as impatience or confusion and creating space for change. It is an invitation to look deeper and reach the source of our emotions to find a new approach.
Resilience in crises: Learning and growth
The learned ability to pose existential questions during crises—and to actively seek answers—is key to strengthening inner resilience. It lies in our nature to grow and learn from challenges when we are willing to look deeply within.
Resilience in crises: Space for support
In my Healing Sessions I offer a protected space to speak about such emotional themes. Together we can illuminate the causes of our experiences and gain new perspectives.
